Mira Festival

Context

In 2023, as part of a collaboration between Elisava and MIRA Festival Barcelona, we developed “OBSERVO LO QUE VEO“, a 360º audiovisual projection designed specifically for the festival’s immersive dome experience.

Together with Sandra Lobaco, Juan Niño, and Mar Gispert, we created a 45-second piece exploring new narratives and the role of social media.

The concept imagined a world where the viewer is constantly observed — a reflection on the overwhelming consumption of content and its effect on perception and privacy.

Overview

Using multiple eye motifs, unsettling sound design, and a bold red-and-black color palette, the piece expressed a visual and emotional tension.

Challenge

It served as a critique of digital overstimulation, where constant exposure invades our personal space and distorts how we see the world.

One of the main challenges was mastering the technical complexity of the dome format: creating an experience that felt powerful, immersive, and coherent from every angle.
Equally challenging was the decision to approach the theme with such bold, explicit visual and sonic language — using eyes, red and black tones, and unsettling sounds to break routine and provoke reflection.
